Baseball Just Over the Horizon

It's almost time for baseball.


I'm sure the weather is just teasing us this week and more cold and snow will invade before the dandelions bloom. Like the weather I'm going to give is just a little foretaste of what I hope to be a FANtastic spring.

Eagles Ranked Preseason

The Missouri High School Baseball Coaches Association in the preseason poll has Oran in the number 9 spot. Other local teams ranked in Class 1 include Cooter at number 2 and Oak Ridge at 5.

Field Upgrades

OHS Baseball Field will have at least a couple of improvements when opening day rolls around. A new batting cage has been installed outside the first base dugout. This new addition includes an Iron Mike pitching machine.

Also, word has it that a new addition will soon be making an appearance just past the leftfield fence. Apparently a new scoreboard, complete with inning by inning display and lots of other bells and whistles will soon be erected by our own Iron Mike, Mike Green.
