The Oran Eagles are 4-0 to start the 2011 baseball season. After 3 lopsided wins were dominated by the offense, it was pitching and defense that were keys in a 2-0 victory on the road against the Leopold Wildcats.

Dalton Elfrink went 6 2/3 innings allowing only two hits and two walks to pick up his second win on the young season. Kody Moore came in with the potential winning run at the plate and struck out Lance Seiler with base runners at first and third to end the game.
Defensively, the Eagles played error free.
Both tallies were the result of sacrifice flies. Zac Chasteen drove in Dylan Dannenmueller in the 2nd inning to give Oran the lead. Then, in the 5th, Elfrink pushed an insurance run across the plate in the person of Tyler Heuring for what proved to be the final score of the day.
TEAM LEADERS

Kody Moore leads the Eagles in batting average (.600), hits (9), home runs (2) and tied with Dylan Dannenmueller in runs scored (8). Tyler Heuring and Dalton Elfrink are tied for the team lead in RBI (10). On the mound, Elfrink and Chasteen both have 2 victories. Moore has 1 save. Moore leads the staff in ERA (o.00) and Elfrink in strikeouts (14).
